Helpful tool for lifting pipe rails during crop change already arranged?
During cultivation, growers focus on the crop, but as soon as the end of cultivation approaches, they begin to look ahead to when the greenhouse has to be emptied again. The crop rotation is coming. Who will do what and what is needed?
For more and more growers at least, the answer is a tube lift. In a 10-hectare greenhouse, there are easily 50 kilometers or more of heating pipes. The tube-rail lift is a handy tool for lifting all those tubes. "Especially the past three or four weeks we have been busy with requests," says Richard Frenken of FB Engineering. "The shed here is full of machines that we will be delivering to growers soon."
This season, the crop rotation is taking place at the traditional moment for many growers, after the usual schedules were sometimes abandoned in recent years. This means that there is, also at FB Engineering, a peak period around mid-October. The company offers tube lifts for both sale and rental.
One-man operationThe lift mechanizes heavy muscle work. Richard is marketing the product, invented by Wiel Nies. The Tube Rail Lift is available for almost any tube rail size. The machine lifts the tube rails and, not unimportantly, also puts them back in line neatly. Only one person is needed to operate the machine.
Where the pipe rails are temporarily lifted with the help of the pipe rail lift, the grower can clean the greenhouse even when the days get shorter. By adding an LED floodlight to the tube lift, tube lifting can also be done in the evening or early morning.
